Okay, maybe he didn't say that exactly, but he DID talk about Christians as needing to be grown up in thought, word and deed.
Have you noticed folks on Facebook or Twitter who throw out the phrase praying for you, Jesus is lord,or I am a child of the king? And then within a few posts you read on the same page from the same person: my life stinks, I'm about to open up a can of (fill in your euphemism here), I've lost faith in humanity, or I'm so angry that people better get out of the way.
Yeah - that's gotta make Jesus proud.
And for those who say this is America and I have a right to say what I want: um, no. When you deliberately claim your position as a follower, you don't get to say what you want. And I know that stinks, and I know I fail at that more times than not. But, I try each day to count to 10 before whinging about small things, stop and breathe before I tell someone off, and pause - sometimes for days- before I hit SEND.
Like I did with this.
Jesus deserves our best.
